Typical day in Jakarta:
Up at 0500 with Jetlag. Hear the prayers broadcast from outside. Emails and work until 0600. Run 7.5k in the gym until 0700. Shower and change. Customer breakfast meeting at 0730. Drive to more customer and partner meetings. Wait in traffic. Wait for meeting. Repeat. Have all three meals with customers until late in the night. Stay connected with email, iPhone, and local number. Keep everything together logistically. Work on other outstanding commitments for coming weeks in backseat of car on laptop. Work at night to try to catch up. Repeat.
Feel connected at all times and at the same time disconnected.
Experience the Indonesian culture. Sights, sounds and smells. Wealth and poverty. Privilege and poverty. Inherent kindness and politics.
There is no running outside in Jakarta but there is lots of running
